Z3 electricial system flickers

Bmw z3 when I hit a bump, or shift gears the electricial system flickers. Could this be motor mounts or trans mounts?

Aftermarket battery? Some batteries' posts are slight undersize relative to the battery cable connectors. You may need battery post shims. Autozone is one place that has them - http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...ntifier=257147

Start by checking the battery connections are clean and tight.

I would follow wifesauto's advice. Double check all electrical connections. Good luck.

Thank you for your suggestions. I checked a few connections under the hood and started the car. As I was backing up I hear sparks coming from somewhere behind the passenger's seat and the car went dead. I disconnected the negative terminal with sparks flying. HELP!!!!

I just had a new battery, (covered by insurance) installed by the dealership. They failed to reconnect the bracket that holds it in place. When I hit that bump it must have moved the battery to where it caused a short to exist. I had to use a grinder on the bracket so that it would work with the new battery. The test drive seemed okay, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for all the help.

How did you get insurance to pay for a BMW battery? Has the car been in accident?

My car was parked outside of my girlfriend's house when we had 13 inches of rain in an hour. Progressive wouldn't total it so I keep taking it back to the shop they had taken it to originally every time an electrical problem occurs. I will not sell it to else and make it their problem or let progressive off the hook.
