Help with F10 ACSM reset to OEM

Hi all,

Happy New Year!!

I messed my F10 ACSM module after coding it just after my wife's F25.

Now I have an Airbag faulty code and System restrain Module error at the iDrive.

How do I reset and re-code the ACSM module with the Factory configuration?

Any helps and directions will be appreciate.

Does ACSM have CAFD with Green Dot next to it?

If so, you need to lock ACSM:

Lock ACSM (Required After Flashing to reset the Airbag)

Try E-Sys Transmitter:

Click "External Applications" in the left menu.
Click "External Application"
Double-click "Transmitter"
Double-click "ACSM verriegelung_schreiben" (ACSM verriegelung_schreiben_new?)

If that does not work, try EDIABAS / Tool32:

Launch C:\EDIABAS\Bin\TOOL32.EXE
Hit F3
Load C:\EDIABAS\Ecu\ACSM4.prg
In the "Select Job: F01" window, select steuern_verriegelung_schreiben
Hit F5
Results" window should show "JOB_STATUS = OKAY"

Note: fs_lesen_funktional only read fault codes, FS_LOESCHEN_FUNKTIONAL will delete it.

Hi Shawnsheridan,

The F10 ACSM ECU still with the issue. When I read the CPS from ACMS it shows [yyyyyyy] instead of the VIN.

Should I send it to the dealer or is it possible to fix this error?

Back to my first question. Does ACSM have CAFD with Green Dot? If so, what is name of CAFD?

No it doesn't have green dot. It doesn't have a CAFD.

It shows:

ACSM[1]

Exactly, and therein lies your problem. You must inject CAFD (all 3 of them) into ACSM and VO Code it,

Hi shawnsheridan, I have 2011 535xi, I have a few issues I need help with. I have code 930AB7 after replacing airbag and seatbelts. (Three crashed data stored) how can I recode the acsm. 2) I changed the fog lamps to led from a 2014 style, how can I code it to the car in order to get rid of the fog lo malfunction message. I am not sure about ACSM. I would clear all errors with Tool32 and then Lock ACSM, and then see what you got.

Clear Fault Codes:

4. In the "Select Job: F01" window, select FS_LOESCHEN_FUNKTIONAL

Thanks a lot boss i will try that and get back to you. On the other hand i replaced the szl with a 2014 model szl with paddle shifter, it works fine, just not coded to my car. Is there anyway i can do a retrofit so o can code it to my 2011 model as its only giving me a replace option when i tried to code it. If there's an option i'd like to try it all together tomorrow. Thanks i really appreciate your swift response.

Sorry, but I don't know about SZL. Use E-Sys to Code it i instead of ISTA/P.

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on ACSM => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD (all 3) from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on ACSM (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.
