quick update. WOW!!!! Ordered the flywheel Tuesday morning and by Thursday morning it's left San Francisco and hopefully will arrive today, it also spent 8-10 hours to be processed by customs Wednesday. Ordered the clutch through amazon prime with 2 day shipping on Saturday and it came in on Wednesday. i'll try and get some photos of the flywheel to compare when it comes in.

It appears that all the single MF's have some chatter (sounds like a small tractor to me). For me it's it's only at idle. Once you depress the clutch pedal it's quiet. And no noise when driving.
CDV removal is easy and a MUST do. Before I changed it the responsiveness was very slow. Afterward, it goes when I tell it to!

My TTV flywheel will be here Friday. Wondering, is the small plate you see with many other LWFW not necessary with this one? About to order the bolts and this just crossed my mind. This is going on a 97 540i and I will be using a NEW stock M5 LuK clutch kit.

The plate is not necessary.

I was told by TTV that they do not require the plate because it's still a steel flywheel.

Also, the spacing is correct as is and would be thrown off if a plate were to be added.

I did not use a plate either, TTV flywheel with BMW single mass flywheel bolts that LaCrosse540i6 posted the part number for worked fine for me. I have put 2k+ miles on my TTV flywheel with no issues. TTV single-mass flywheel, M5 Luk clutch, CDV Delete, E60 Shift lever is my setup and so far loving it.

Is it still possible to lock the flywheel using the Baum tool with the TTV flywheel installed?
