Power Window Switch not working?

Hi everyone,

Recently, my driver's side power window switch just stopped working out of nowhere. All of the switches on the panel work except the switch for the driver's side window. At first, it would work sometimes or if you pressed it in a certain way but then it stopped working. Now it makes a click click sound when I pull it up but doesn't go down.

Is this a problem of the switch or is it the motor? I'm thinking switch since it still makes a sound when I pull it up.

Which BMW and how old?

Newer cars have pinch protection that may have to be reset.

I checked the fuse, everything looks okay. Do not hear any noises….went down, and then it just stopped up working. Where do I get the wiring diagram?
