Mein Auto: 2008 335xi
Hello,

I've recently had an issue with my 2008 335xi where the satellite radio will only display a message to call Sirius XM but the ESN is blank.

I've checked all fuses and they all seem to be fine.

I've checked all the cables in the trunk at the sat unit to see if they were snug, which they were. Then after disconnecting the fiber cables (circled in the below picture) and plugging it back in, the sat radio would work fine. This would last about 5 minutes before reverting to the call sirius message with no ESN. Reconnecting the cable again would once again allow the sat radio to work for another 3-5min.

Diagnostics revealed the following codes:
A530 Error Power Supply Fault
A536 Error SatAntenna Open Circuit
A537 Error SatAntenna Short Circuit

Any ideas on how to proceed, hopefully allowing it to work for a while longer?

If you have a convertible it uses a different antenna for roof up and down at least for
the regular radio don't know about the sat.

I never was able to fix my sat unit, but I bought a replacement sat module of ebay from a totaled 7 series for $150, gave SiriusXM the details of the new unit and now it's as good as new.
