Send email about leasing what should it include

I am going to send an email out to all the local dealers, with the following

Looking for a 2006 530i Black on Black with the following options

Premium Package
Sport Package
Comfort Acess
Xennon Lights
Navi System

Please tell me what you have in the way of leasing programs for someone that has tier 1 credit, on a 36 month term with 15k Miles per year. Looking to put little to nothing down

Your email should contain the following

Cost of Vehicle
Money Factor
Residual Value
Down payment, broken out.

We also have a 2003 Denali XL loaded with everything minus Navi, but it does have 3 custom DVD screens in it. Condition is good, and mechanical is excellent, if you can give me a range of what you would give on the trade in, if the numbers are right, we can purchase the car tonight.

Thanks

Michael Snowdon

I think it would be helpful if you told them that you've been looking for a BMW at least since September of 2002, but haven't bought one yet.

https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11778

I think it would be helpful if you told them that in the intervening years you've considered the following vehicles:

New 2003 330Ci https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83718
New 2004 330CI ZHP https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94594

New 2006 530i https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=117253

I think it would also be helpful if you told them that you've worked with at least 3 different Internet Sales Managers and countless Client Advisors in your search.

And finally it might also be helpful if you told them that you have been know to make appointments with BMW dealerships, on the last day of the month and late in the evening, only to not show and not call.

For the record Michael, I have nothing against anyone who wants to get a great deal on a BMW. That's what I specialize in, and I have many references on this board and elsewhere who will back me up. And I think it's great that you would use the internet and specifically bimmerfest to educate yourself on what constitutes a good car, and a good car deal.

I do have a problem with someone who repeatedly consumes the time and energy of (multiple) sales professionals, and especially those consumers who decide not to show up for appointments without so much as a phone call; it shows a complete and utter disregard for their time, and it's just rude.

I hear you and support you 100% on this one!

While I don't know this guy's story, if looks like you make a pretty good case that he has taken alot of people's time with little consideration.

Not to mention his habit today of spamming the same requests across multiple forums and sometime multiple times in the same forum.

Michael,

please stop posting the same message on different forums and post them only here if you have price and dealer specific questions.

Please note that all duplicate threads will be removed.

Thanks.

With the clock rollback today, I've been able to bill 28 hours so far today I hate working on Sundays.

Please don't joke about excess billing. We lawyers receive bad enough press without dumping on ourselves. If you are like me you actually have a hard time billing for 75% of the time you spend in the office.

Joking is the only way through the misery. I'm going to get out of this game soon enough so I can laugh at all the lawyers who still have their butts glued to a deskchair and their balls hardwired to time entry software.

I suggest that you might take a slightly softer approach to your initial contact. Perhaps it would be best to start out as you did, outlining the kind of car you want with all the options and asking them to get back to you with some quotes. I wouldn't get quite a specific about the money factors, the residuals and whatnot, you can get into that later. All that you really want to do in the beginning is find out if they're in the ballpark.

It is always helpful to make clear the fact that you want to lease, but I generally prefer just to anchor down the price of the car and discuss the lease by phone. When I actually to discuss the deal terms I'd lay everything out on an Excel spreadsheet with all the pertinent data including money factor down payment components of the down payment et cetera. I don't think it's necessary to start off asking for all those details. You go further I certainly a little bit less nosing about the specifics.

Michael-

You can get most of the lease info by doing about 10 seconds of research on this board.
