A bit of a rant!
I had an issue with the seat belt motor failing when retracting after release, the first time it happened I did not realise it had not retracted and therefore slammed the door closed against it, damaging the paintwork on the sill. BMW replaced the motor under warranty and I asked them to take responsibility for repairing the bodywork damage, this was back in March. The service manager at the dealer said he had sent details to BMW UK and they would be back with a decision.
Here we are in May and still no answer, cannot even get the service manager to return calls.
The hoot is they are trying their best to convince me to spend £85 K on a new 8 series.
When I had my Mercedes even out of warranty I found that Mercedes where significantly more helpful in dealing with issues, me thinks I may well go back??? I will definitely not be spending £85k with BMW.
Always said I would go back to a 6 series
