440i xdrive convertible Tire question

I have a 2018 440i conv xdrive with M-sport pkg (M-brakes) with staggered tires
Front 225/40R19
Rear 255/35R19

This is a leased car and I need winter tires! Something I didn't consider when I got the m-pkg & then some at n/c as it was existing stock. Trying to replace the exact sizes in winter tires is next to impossible. What are my options? Can I go all one size and if so, what size? If I owned this car, I'd get a wheel/tire combo, but considering this is temporary, I'd like to go the cheapest route.

thanks in advance.

BMW sells winter tire an wheel combos. Check on ShopBMWUSA.com. You dont'want the wide and low-profile size tires you have with M Sport. A BMW winter set-up is about $2k. That's expensive, but you can get maybe half of that back by selling them on BF, Craigs List, BMWCCA.org, etc.). There are a lot of F30 3's and 4's around. So, there's a demand for them.

Having a dedicated winter set means that switching from summer to winter tires is a DIY job. That will save you maybe $100/year.

Winter tires and wheels are cheaper than trips to the body shop.

how did you get staggered tires on an xdrive? I recall that not being an option. I would look at tirerack.com and see what you can do

You actually had me double-checking that it was an Xdrive. Definitely Xdrive, definitely MSport brakes and staggered tires. thanks. Click image for larger version

Exclamation Staggered wheel/tires on BMW models

Not at all unusual ... the rolling radius/diameter is maintained by having differences in tire cross section and aspect ratio. That's the dimension a BMW xDrive is concerned about***********:

e.g. a 225/40R19 has the same rolling radius as a 255/35R19

BTW - these are the staggered sizes for one specific 440i xDrive ... As an alternative to BMW OEM stuff check TireRack for wheel and tire packages that would work for your specific car. They will also install TPMS for an easy winter change-over.
