E82 / E87 / E88 / F20 1 Series (2008 - 2014)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Water sloshing in car - sound

Hey ok so I'm going to confirm I have water in the car.

I cant' see any water in the car interior or trunk, on moving the car around I heard sloshing.

So I had another thread and I'm wondering if this is the culprit. USUALLY before moving off I have the stereo on, or I have a big box with tools, water etc, so now the car is empty.

It seems to be coming from the back, I wanna check like drain holes for blockage etc.
It's raining out so unable to do so at the moment,
I'll also check if I can where the lights etc are, but it def sounds like a fair amount.

Any IDEAS?

txs

A friend has a five year old Mustang that had sloshing sounds coming from somewhere after a hard rain. Somebody recently jumped on my about why I don't like convertibles. Add this to the list.

It's not just vert's. although they can suffer more than most.
It's bad design of drainage and or/broken/worn/blocked drain holes
also aftermarket dicks who spray rust proofing sealant to block drain holes

So the sloshing sound stopped, so not a gas tank thing,
I have some ideas, and will continue to dig

Sorry to reopen this old one, but looks like the slooshing was coming from under the drivers side deck lid, where the cap top sits in, the vent was blocked.
as per my previous /latest thread on it is
