G30 (2017 - Current)
The next generation 5 Series, chassis code G30, arrives at dealers in February 2017. Looking like a scaled down 7 Series and riding on the CLAR platform, the new 5 Series will have a focus on lightweight and sporty performance. Engines options will come from BMW's new B family for the 530 and 540 and a turbocharged V8 for the M550i. Read more about the 2017 5 Series

Driving Assistant Plus

Anyone got a Driving Assistant Plus retrofit?. I currently have the Driving Assistant Standard and wondering if it would be really possible.

I am collecting the necessary parts. If someone want to join me, we can work together.

Have you looked at the wiring diagrams to see all the wiring connections required for the multiple communication paths required to make driver assistance plus possible...like the additional Ethernet and flexray cables...as well as the possibility of additional control modules that you may not have (FRM vs FEM) that is required for communication pathways you may not have? If not, just go to the www.newtis.info website, enter the last 7 digits of your VIN, then type driving assistant in the search box... then look at the difference between the wiring diagrams & functional operation for each...the wiring diagrams will be (SSP) and operating functions will be (FUB)

Driving Assistance Plus is a LOT of systems once you add that option on.

Probably a lot better financially to trade your current car in and get another one with that option added on already.
