Weird Noise when idling in Park

Has anyone come across like a beep type noise when idling and in Park? I think it is only in Park, not sure if it's just when idling and at an intersection, but only seem to notice when parked.

It's a bit random, hasn't done it for awhile, but as my wife describes it, the "owl" is back! :-)

I have a video but I can't see how to upload it to this site. Hard to describe, the video shows it all.

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer... EITHER the company that made the OE part or.... A part this is identical to the OE part, but is sold by the OEM under their own label

OEM is not what BMW sells

huh

Odd sound

Crack or split in an intake hose? almost sounds like air sucking or blowing through a slit, and vibration of the slit .... Does temperature affect it?

Use a mechanics stethoscope to try and find it. Beware of moving parts under the hood.

Or something vacuum related, a worn vacuum solenoid cycling on and off can sound like that.

I agree. It sort of sounded like a diaphragm style pump with a leak.
