Talking >>>New Trunk Spoiler- 650ix GC

I just installed a new trunk spoiler on our 650ix. I always thought the trunk lines were a bit too subtle. Very pleased with this change.

The part fit perfectly and the paint was good. The only problem I see is the puddle of water that will likely accumulate in front of it...

Very nice! A couple questions...

1 - Where did you get it, and was it painted?

2 - Are you from the Pullman or Spokane area? I live in Spokane, but I work down near Pullman! I love that your plate is also 666...too funny.

Here are a couple shots of mine. I just added some wheel spacers, which really makes a difference, in my opinion. I've also been thinking about adding the spoiler...would you go white or black on mine?

Nice addition, the M6 spoiler fits the 6'er perfectly.

Hey JW, had mine painted and installed at my dealer for $545 plus tax. On white I'd stick with a white spoiler. Part number is 51624800597.

JW, I bought it from Direct Car Toys, http://directcartoys.com/2012-6-Seri...-P3030038.aspx
They have it unpainted for $219, or painted for $299 + shipping.
I bought mine painted, and it was good quality. I chose their paint because my Alpine White has no metallic and would be easy to touch up. They must have had it in stock because it shipped in like two days.
We live in Seattle, but we have two kids who just graduated from WSU. I grew up on Manito Boulevard... Spokane is beautiful. I bet there isn't one other 6-series in your area...

I'm not sure on the color... I would always lean towards matching the body color so it blends more.

Thanks!
Jay

Shake- Your car is beautiful. Love the spoiler on your car in red... subtle but adds a bit more style

Thanks Tork - I've had a lot of fun with my 650i and it just seems to be getting better every month. Recently added the Power Pedal, great combo that highly compliments the BMS Stage 1. With this new combo, in sport the car now has a new feeling of quick and tight like a M3/Carrera, but in Comfort can be very civilized and, luxurious/sophisticated like a 7 series.

The M6 spoiler and Non RFT's in my opinion would have been 2 nice options on the 6'er.

Shake- I just noticed your rear diffuser is painted to match the car. I have been debating this mod since I bought the car, and if I had bought the spoiler unpainted I would have painted this section at the same time.
I really like it red on your car. Did you have a shop paint it on the car, or removed?

Like the look. As you say, adds some subtle style to the back of the car without being overly obnoxious. I have Alpine White as well so got it painted. Assume it just uses 3M double stick tape to attach?

Just received my spoiler and I'm impressed with the paint finish and build quality. Thanks for the suggestion.

Does anyone have a front lip. I just checked out the website but it seems like they only have rear spoilers for the gc

Just realized you sent me this question, sorry it took so long to answer.

Below: I had the diffuser removed and painted red. Never really liked the factory black gloss diffuser.

Below: Wasn't completely done yet. After a few months wanted to break up the all red look, I added a black wrap in gloss between the exhausts. For me that look was exactly what I was looking for.

Shake- I really like the black section you added. Mine is still the dark factory grey. I was thinking of painting it white but someone pointed out that the non-Msport models are painted body color. I don't want to downgrade...
Your solution works very well.
Thanks for posting!
