Lost Radio, Phone/Bluetooth & Seatbelt Warning Chimes

A few days ago I got in my car, started it up and I am not able to tune my radio. The dashboard shows it's there but makes me go through FM/AM then manual and no stations appear. Same for Bluetooth/phone. When I choose it, it just says Connecting and never does. Then I realized when I start up my car I no longer receive the seatbelt warning sound chimes to buckle up. Checked the fuse boxes (under the hood and in the trunk) and both appear to be in good condition. I didn't attempt to replace any as I'm afraid to screw something up. Any ideas what is wrong, how it can be fixed and how much?

I deleted the pairing of the BMW from my phone and it didn't work. Darn I was hoping it would be that easy.

I was freaked out too, it just didn't work same as yours one night. As I drove to Taco Bell and back it bugged me so when I got home I poured over the internet and found a post about doing that. Also about going into the maintenance menu to do a diagnostic which I did. Not sure if I did that part right, I didn't even know I had bluetooth in my car haha, I found that and deleted the previous owners phone and paired mine. I started it again like 20 minutes later and had sound back and it has been back for a week now.

Do you have access to ISTA? If so, plug the car in and see what it says.

The chimes play through the radio speakers, so if the radio is dead, the chimes won't chime.

I don't have access to ISTA. My friend owns a repair shop. I assume he does.

see if you can get into the maintenance mode, then run the diagnostic and exit the menu....worth a shot

Trying to get into Maintenance mode but I'm either doing it wrong or it won't let me.

Appreciate all the suggestions though.

The loss of sound problem comes up all the time here.
Number 1 problem is the amp gets wet do to clogged drains
or seal leaks.
First thing to do is check the amp and amp area for water.
If you live in Texas or have had a recent rain check this first.
Number 2 problem one of the modules in the Most loop has gone
bad satellite , Mulf or TCU. Use a Most jumper to bypass these modules
one at a time and see if the sound comes back.

If you have a really weak battery the IBS system will turn of stuff it doesn't
need to keep the car running.

Unfortunately, not everyone does. You really need to have it to diagnose and fix most problems.

You can certainly try isolating a bad component with a bypass loop. I'd also get someone who can reliably read the system and see what that tells you as well.

Update

So a few days after my last post I took my car to the dealership. They looked over everything they thought could be causing it mechanically and everything checked out fine. In the end they had to completely reprogram my computer on the car (i.e. download the latest software and reprogram from scratch). I paid $325 for them to do this (and they waived the $150 "diagnosis fee").

Really what a bunch of bologna. I mean a car with 45k miles and is only 4 years old and you have to do this? I complained up the chain to BMW but to no avail. They would not reimburse me a penny.

"The Ultimate Driving Machine" my ass.

To all those who tried to help thank you very much!
