2015 x6 50i - good deal?

about to order a 2015 X6 50i

Is $5000 below MSRP a good deal on this model?

residual is 59%

MF is .0013

Thoughts? feedback?

I advise you to go to that store now and buy that car before they realize that's a stupid deal to make. Good for you :-) stupid for them

Ha Ha. thank you!
long standing relationship with the CA.

Is the deal good enough to warrant purchasing over leasing?

I would get $1500 from USAA (instead of $500) and go through BMWFS.

I drive about 13000 miles/year.

maybe that's a question that's too personal customer to customer, but just curious about your thoughts. every dealer has told me to lease. wondering if they just want me to come back in 3 years.

Yes of course you they want you to come back in 3 years... but do you really want to buy a car that has a 48% residual in 42 months..... that's a loss of HALF of value of car

So looks like I'm leasing

Thank you so much for your time. You confirmed what I thought was true.

Now just have to pick the colors!

2015 x6 50i - good deal?

Lease first and buy later if you really like it... There is no cost penalty unless you were going to pay full cash. Actually cheaper interest with MSD's at 1.95 % and of course smaller payments then buying for the first 3 years. Deal is good. I got $3k off my $89k build, and that was only for CA relationship. Sponsors were firm at only $1k off.

My state doesn't allow MSD's. Otherwise, I would be all over that!

What do you mean by no cost penalty unless cash?

He meant that you wouldn't be paying interest (financial charges) if you paid cash. However, if you have that kind of cash you probably has a better invest channel otherwise.

So, does anyone know what this car would lease for with 3-4 MSDs? I was looking at an x5 which was in the low 80s. 36 with 12k per year.

I think if you can't afford to do all 7 MSD's, then you can't afford MSD's at all..... And maybe the car!

I have 5 cars and have never leased. This would be my daily beater for work. Wasn't worried nor was I asking if I could afford this vehicle. Thank you for your thoughts.

As a rough estimate, I have found that each MSD will reduce the payment by $1+$1 per $10000 of MSRP. So on a $80K car you are looking at a $9/month reduction for every MSD. So figure out the payment without the MSDs then factor in the reduction.

It lowers the MF. That's a pretty good return. CA has redeemed herself. Thanks.

Is it the state where you and the car reside, or where the deal is consummated (ie where the dealer is)...i forget

Where the deal is consummated. Many festers who live in NY have gone to NJ or CT to do deals to take advantage of the MSD program.
