Brought this home tonight. It's a AW/BN 2011 (July '11 build date), DCT, every factory option available as far as I can tell (except rear sunshade), 12,680 miles.

I did not have the opportunity to order my M3 and the best fit in terms of available cars were cars that had moon roofs. At the time I thought a moon roof was an anathema but in the end I wanted the car more than a CF roof. Go figure....over time I have come to love the moon roof especially on my frequent drives to the West Virginia mountains. On those drives my M3 purrs a seductive M Song while the blazing stars above provides the light show. I know you were just gently kidding the OP - as we all know - all M3s are magical.

Congrats on your M3!

OK, so yeah, a moonroof is a party foul on a M3, but you got a great car and I bet the glass roof doesn't slow you down one bit. With a July 11 build, you must have gotten one of the last 2011 M3s made. 2011 M3 production ran from March 2010 to July 2011 with 2012 M3 cut-in in late July 2011.

I originally wanted the CF roof, but the more I searched, the more I felt that moonroof was right for me. I'm really happy, got everything I wanted.

I was just kidding you about the roof. It looks great. I love AW. At 12K she's barely broken in. Have you started a list of mods yet? Black grills would be a nice choice to start.

OP, congrats and welcome to the M family!

May I suggest adding the following mods;

Black kidney grilles
Black gilles
Performance carbon rear spoiler
IND painted reflectors

IMO, it really enhances the look especially with the Alpine White paint.

Thanks! Those mods are pretty much what I'm thinking. And LED halos.

Very happy with my Lux H8 V3 5000k's. Fitment is a pain, but they look great.

+1 on the IND reflectors, $75 well spent. Nate at IND is good people.

That's a retrofit in a few years.
