Individual BMW keys can be COMPLETELY customised by each driver.

I am talking about***********:

Climate control settings
electric seat settings
electric mirror settings
Central locking settings

Refer to "CAR AND KEY MEMORY OPTIONS"
Do a search in the forums, you will find what you need here.

WAW!!!
Thats seems to be at least partially helpful. Cycling new air.

Yes, you are right. We can set climate control setting thru key. The original question is, will the AC turn on and run, when you remote unlock your car, when the engine is still turned off.

So without engine running, AC will be on?
Won't it drain the battery?

Hi Everyone,
Could really use your help. I just purchased a X5 sDrive36i. I was told the climate control timer (from the app) would heat/cool my car based on the settings in the vehicle when I turned it off. I can't get it to work. It's only pushing outside air through the car. Please tell I haven't been scammed!!!

The memory setting is just that - memory; it does not turn on/off the system. The key stores the last temperature setting (in addition to seat, mirrors and I believe audio) for that key. If you want to turn on the system before you get into the vehicle there are two timers in Climate using the iDrive system. It allows you to activate the climate control before entering the vehicle. I have never used it so I have no idea how it works or if a remote starter is required. Perhaps another member can educate us both on that.
