All, some functions my dash computer on my 04 330i Don't seem to work. Clock works as well as trips, but the MPH and the MPG counters don't seem to move. How can I reset that? Thanks !!

Recent data obviously has little effect on a long-term average if they haven't been reset in a looooooong time.

To reset average economy and average speed:
  1. Press & release the BC button as needed until the measurement you want to reset is displayed.
  2. Press and hold the BC button for several seconds until "--.-" appears.
  3. Repeat for the other average.

Ok, have the manual, and followed those steps, took a driven and the mph increases then stops and freezes.

And what happens to the average MPH figure when you pull off the road, stop, and sit with the engine running for a while?

Maybe a better question to ask is: How exactly do you expect these displays to behave?

The number droooppsss verrryyy sloowwwly 1 by 1 . I would expect the mph counter to increase decrease as the car does.

It is not a digital readout of instantaneous speed. The figure displayed is an average of all samples since the last reset. There's nothing wrong with your OBC.

You seem to be missing The Big Picture here....the Avg. MPG and Avg. MPH are designed to give feedback over hundreds/thousands of miles, and NOT give instant feedback. Every time you reset the function, that puts the numbers back to zero, so you`re starting from scratch all over again. It`s meant to give more of a composite result as the miles accumulate.
