2007 X3 Video Off Road

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/bmw/bmw-x3-ar10565.html

Is this the US version or the European? I'm speaking of the X3 they show in the 2nd video when it is off road on the gravel and thru the water.

It starts playing after the first video. There are 3 parts. First is interior then it goes off road.

I believe the 3.0si will be the same in both Europe in the U.S. It's the only model sent over to the U.S. compared to the six (or is it more now?) versions they sell in Europe and the two versions they sell in Canada. So to answer your question, yes on both counts.

Thanks

Will the 2007 X3 have an optional sound system with 600 watts like the new X5? If not what kind of sound system will it have? Better than my Harmon Kardon on my E46 or the same sound?

I can't find any info on Run-flats, will the 2007 X3 have them or not?

Thats the Euro version (you can tell by the Tach). Why do people like runflats so much? Runflats suck like hell, they have a crappy ride and how many times do you ever get a flat tire? Thats not really what I call "Off Roading", hell, my 7 can take that terrian just as well.

Actually I don't want run-flats, just that it seems BMW is putting them on all their new models so I just assumed it would also be on the X3 for 2007 to follow suit but I can't see any info about it on their website.

Noone knows about the sound system?

The optional sound system listed in the 2007 ordering guide (see https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=158620 ) shows option code 677. That is the same option code used for the premium sound in 2004 through 2006.

I have option 677/premium sound system on our X3 and it is a small step below the Harman Kardon I have in my 330i. The bass is a little better than the HK, but it's missing the higher placed tweeter that the HK has, and it doesn't sound as good in the midrange either. It's not bad at all, but I think the HK has the edge for sure.

What are you talking about? Those guages are identical to the ones in my N/A '05.

You're right about the 'off roading' comment. That looks more like a typical secondary road in Europe to me.

A tach shouldn't be different for euro or US....just the speedo with MPH or KPH

Thanks for the info. That may just be the deal breaker for me, why don't they offer a prem sound system at least equvilent to the HK. I couldn't live with below quality than what I currently have which I think is good but not best. I also don't have the money to rip out what is there and install something new. Music is my life. I agree that the tweeter placed higher really adds to the sound experience and I've always like the midrange on the HK.

May have to check out the X5 with the optional sound system, just not sure I need that big of a vehicle over the X3.

Thanks again for your help.
