I want one... Can we see pic? Where can I get that?

So check local dealers as it sounds like many dealers have them in stock. But it does sound like BMW is eliminating them.

Thanks for the tip. Were you able to order the exact part number as listed in the original post (63 31 9 148 677)? My local dealer's web site shows a similar-appearing flashlight, but the part number is different (63 31 0 411 930), and it looks a slightly different from the one pictured in the OP, so I'm not sure if it would fit properly in the empty slot in the glove box.

The 930 mini will NOT fit in the slot it has notched edges around the flashlight, although its a mini it will NOT fit. It has to be the smooth round one ending 677 that I pictured in my original post.

It sounds like BMW won't be stocking these anymore so better get them while you can, it stands to reason since I'm sure the F30 will use something else.

I hope this thread has helped others cause I searched forever for the correct part #'s and these are it.

Dankz. I haven't looked since then, but I couldn't figure out the spot (or any hidden spot).

For those who might be curious, I just stopped by the parts store at the local BMW. I'm going with Tischer after all. First aid was $26, sunroof tool was over $5, can't recall the exact price of the flashlight, but I think about 50% more than with Tischer . . . then add the tax . . . just for anyone who was curious, though I'm sure the most of you aren't surprised at all . . .

Today, after waiting a week for the flashlight to ship here from Jacksonville, FL, my dealer received the 677 LED flashlight. As the OP stated, it fits perfectly in the spot on the glovebox door. I'm surprised that it even included a "AAA" battery.

ECS tuning says they have the flashlight in stock but we will see!

I hope they have them as its been said that BMW is not stocking these in the USA anymore!

I think* Nordic Kat might have had one installed, can't quite recall, but maybe I can be bothered to run a search in the future, but then again maybe it's a different install anyways with a vert. I don't see anything resembling a triangle bracket in my trunk.

So I was ready to pull the trigger on a few of these items, but the shipping at +$14 stopped me for the moment. I'm thinking of stopping by the local BMW parts store to see if I could spend less that way.

I was talking about this stuff with one of my friends last night, so I showed him the various hiding places/spots in my vehicle. He sees the glow-in-the-dark emergency trunk release and asks what it was, so I ended up going inside the trunk (took some effort getting in there haha), and pulled on it. Yep, it works!

Merry Xmas all.
When I picked up my car at the Welt it came with the Emergency Triangle and a First Aid Kit. Apparently they are required by law in Germany. However, Emergency Vests are also required and BMW did not supply them. I had to buy them at a gas station for about $9 each. The vests come in International Orange or Chartreuse Yellow. I bought one of each color. They make nice souvenirs.

It would be nice if BMW sold the vests at their store in the Welt.

If BMW sold the vests, they would probably cost $30.

ECS has none left. They e-mailed saying it's gone and discontinued.

I really want one, but my local dealer also says it is out of stock and shows zero anywhere in the country available to order.

The flashlights (pencil shaped LEDs that fit in the "C" clips to the left of the glove compartment's left side):
When I picked up my e92 in 8/09, (PDC), I was told that my car was a part of the last shipment of cars that had this light factory-provided. From then on, no light.
So all the ones you find now must be the residual replacement parts stock, and it sounds like they are running out.

To bad, as I really like my light. Very powerful. I am tempted to replace it with a mini-mag light though, as it would be nice to have a light that could be focused enough so as to be useful in reading street signs and house numbers. The LED doesn't have anywhere that range.

I have the flashlight - bought it right after I took delivery of my E91. It is really no big deal. Its not especially bright or effective. It does say "BMW" on the side, but if you can find an aftermarket LED that can fit in that little slot, that would do just as well.

Yeah, I dont mind it being something else. Reason I wanted it is that it fits and stays put. Is be fine with anything that fits the slot.Anyone know if there's a mag lite that fits? The mini one perhaps?

You guys are really lucky, because my '11 E90 didn't come with a first aid kit or tools etc. I tried to locate them, but there is only car felt. You can open the compartment by twisting the knob. Below you will find wires, a few electronic boxes etc (I'm assuming its the navigation drives, the electronics wires etc). The car is fully loaded (which is surprising to find its missing an FA kit). I open the 60/40 split to see if they were placed at the top. I also opened the middle bottom of the trunk (where a spare tire would be in non-rft cars), but there was nothing but plastic molding.

I'm assuming with 2011's you have to buy a first aid kit, the warning triangle, the mini tools, + flashlight from the parts dept? or am I looking in the wrong place?

Did you remove the small felt cover in the right rear plastic bin? The tow hook tool and screwdriver is under that cover.

Have a dealer parts dept. do a search for the flashlight from dealers in the area. Some will have the flashlight in stock. Though the price will probably be higher then Tischer's. Although my local dealer matched the Tischer price, they did have to order it from the BMW warehouse in FL. Dealer said it was the last one available from any of BMW's parts distribution centers in the US. Took a week to get out here to CA.

I already have the BMW 677 flashlight but I was in OSH today looking at the Maglites and they have one called Solitaire http://www.maglite.com/product_pack.asp?psc=1AAACELL

I didn't have the one from my car with me to match up but it looks like a pretty small light that will fit on the glovebox door. I don't believe it has an LED light, but thought I would mention it since the BMW 677 light is getting hard to locate. It cost about $8.00. If Walmart carries it, it's probably even cheaper.

They are out of production. The dealer could not get me one, and neither could ECS Tuning. It seems like the only hope is to find a used one. I carry a small LED light (non-BMW) in my center console.

I recently bought a 2011 328i, and I have been trying to find the little round flashlight (63-31-9-148-677) with no success (from finding this forum I now know why). My local BMW parts dept. and an online site reference part # 63-31-6-962-052 for a 2011 328i, but when I saw a picture online, it is a rectangular flashlight and costs $37.00. The space in my glove box looks like it is for the round one pictured above in previous posts. Does anyone know if the 052 light will indeed fit in the space? It seems kind of expensive anyway just to fill a space, but I am one of those people that wants all the official stuff to go in the empty spaces. I have found the other tools, FA kit, etc.

Get a Surefire LED. They are compact, super bright and probably the market leader. Of course, one will cost far more than $11.08
