120k miles!

With a car, a van, several motorcycles, and a 3mi each way commute, my ZHP has only seen 5-7k miles/yr the past few years.

Finally hit 120k.

Today I tackled oil, water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses, valve cover gasket (it was super brittle), spark plugs, tranny fluid, diff fluid, fuel filter, coolant expansion tank. Replaced the windshield washer pump as it had failed. Under $10 on amazon!

No gotchas... car is still running great. I bought the car with 14k in 2004 and it's the most miles I've ever put on any car and the longest I've ever owned a car. I'm committed to 200k.

congrats Kris!
would you consider moving further away from office? 3 mile daily commute really hurts any motor vehicle, right?

btw, i really wish i could accomplish so much in one day. in fact, i'm pretty sure that all these would take me more than a 3-day long weekend.

Kris, Congrats on your accomplishments. I am a new 2003 325i wagon owner here in South SJ and I just ordered most of the parts to do the cooling system refresh and Double Vanos seal replacement. Have you done your Vanos repair yet? Want to learn with me? I'll buy the beer.
I also will be needing a new clutch soon. I'm still debating if I want to tackle that on my own or pay to have someone do it.

The prodigal son returns! Great to see you around man! Your car is just a baby! And you still have the best interior of any ZHP.

Rock on!

Haven't done vanos yet. Dyno chart says that mine seems to be fine. Let me know when you want to do yours and yeah, I may be down to swing by and check it out.

My clutch is feeling a bit soft but still no slipping. Probably has 300 total clutch dump autocross launches on it... but on the street I typically rev match up and down, so it doesn't see much wear daily.

My ZHP clutch has 207k miles on it. OE clutch too.

Enough hard launches that I busted my diff once already.

Well after my driveway collapsed (4 foot deep trench opened up from water springs erupting in the middle of the driveway) I kinda of mothballed all my cars and have been driving my 4wd trucks.

Finally made a new driveway for the cars so Im back doing car things

Popping in here with my cars drydocked just made me more miserable !

Good to be back.
