320i shutting down engine problem

My husband purchased 2013 BMW 320i turbo for me in the beginning of the year. Couple moths ago I encountered the problem with shutting engine. It's random, sometimes it's 4-5 times in an hour and sometimes I drive a week with no problem. The problem is that when the break pedal is pressed to stop the enging shuts down and transmission switches to neutral. To start going again I need to hit the start button and then turn on "drive". I do not like the "start/stop" function because of the annoying vibration when car starts, so I always have it off, but the car still shuts down sometimes. Also, even though I alsways have "start/stop" function off, often my car jerks like it's about to shut down, but then "changes its mind", restarting, it's all without shutting down, but it sounds and feels like it was almost shut down and started again. This is very weird. I love the car, but this problem scares me , as once I had it 5-6 times int he row, when I started the car, started moving, it shut down again, and I couldn't move for couple minutes, in the middle of intersection. I took it to dealer. They ran the diagnostics, but weren't able to find anything wrong. Took it for test drive, but it didn't "act out" while they drove it (it is very random). Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone else had similar problem and was able to figure out the issue? I would appreciate any hints.

This does not sound normal. Does it happen when the auto start/stop is enabled? Is the car(2013) recoded with last-user mode on the auto start/stop? The best approach is to ask a shop foreman to take an extended test drive with you to reproduce the problem, the foremen are usually very sharp and can pinpoint the problem accurately. Good luck.

Do you get it resolved? What was the root cause, and fix?

Is it due to one of the following:
1. Low battery charge level
2. Crankshaft Sensor
3. Cam shaft sensor (one for intake, another one for exhaust, and could be either one)
4. Low auto transmission oil (after too much oil leak)
5. High pressure fuel injector failure (fuel pressure lower than anticipated)
6. Fuel pump failure
7. MAF (airflow sensor) intermittent failure - replace it
8. DME computer - it will be very hard to convince dealer to replace it, and it is going to cost several thousands $$$

Yes, the dealership said something like intake air pipe had a crack and the changed it. Didn't have a problem since then

Probably a vacuum leak involving the brake booster.
