need help replacing headlight bulb

I've looked at the existing posts on replacing the headlight bulb, however my hand just seems too big to have enough leverage to unplug the electrical plug, let alone the metal tang that holds the bulb in. I tried both my left and right hand, through the engine bay and through the wheel well, no dice. Before I give up and head to the dealer, can anyone suggest for someone who can barely get my knuckles into the hole, how to remove the electrical plug (the black plastic housing where the wires go into)? Any tips maybe using a tool? Thanks in advance.

Halogen? Have you looked at this: http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=950763

Maybe use a long nosed pliers if you can't get fingers in?

EDIT: Remove airbox cover to get some more space for drivers side, passenger side should have enough space.

Halogen yes. I saw this post, but the part where it says "Simply squeeze the top and bottom of the connector and pull firmly straight out towards the rear of the car until it pops off", that's the part I don't have the leverage, or space, to do, at least with my fingers/hands.

It's probably a little obvious, but how about asking someone with smaller hands for help?

Finally replaced both bulbs, driver's side was 10 times more difficult, even with the airbox pushed aside. I'm not going to lie - this took many hours, peeled skin, and deep skin indentations that hopefully are not permanent. Time to sleep and let my raw hands heal. Goodnight.

Sounds like it was a sucky job.
I've been there.
Cut and bruised changing out parts. Not fun.
Beer always helped.

I have adaptive lights, never had to do this, probably a halogen specific issue??...struggled with fog lights though, and had to go from under like Silver suggested. Beer was a detriment that day though...lol
