Annoying pop ups

Is anybody else getting the annoying Amazon membership rewards popups? Are they paying the site to advertise? Getting them when using my iPad and Chrome browser. I have popup blocker activated in Chrome, but that doesnít seem to have an impact on this.

I like to use the full version of the website, donít use Tapatalk since it has its disadvantages and there doesnít really seem to be proper ad- or popup blocker for Chrome in iOS.

Hereís the address for the ad: http://cardcatalogforsale.top/us_ama....autoguide.com

Yup. Rendered using Chrome on iPad to browse here pretty much impossible as those are popping up every couple of minutes. Haven't tried with Safari or Firefox on the iPad yet, but guess I'll have to eventually.

No issues with popups with my company Windows laptop using Firefox. I do have Adblock Plus running on FF on the laptop, though.

I get this in EVERY visit to Bimmerfest to the point where it's no longer worth contributing.

Occurs when visiting on an iPad Pro 12.9" with iOS 11.2.6 and whatever version of Safari browser it defaults to. Haven't yet seen your spammers use this exploit when visiting through my Surface Pro 4 tablet (Win 10, Edge browser) or Retina MacBook Pro (High Sierra, OSX Safari 11.0.3) or when bootcamped into Win7.

When getting Bimmerfest Popup spam on iPad iOS, I don't trust clicking on the dialog's 'Close' button and have always killed off the tab itself to go elsewhere and surf safer places.

Some minor respite comes from drilling into the hardware router settings and flag those domains containing .top and .club in its address. Once enabled, the Bimmerfest page at least forwards to a blank "Page not found" resulting from that sweet, sweet router halting any further code from those sites. This provides a safer opportunity to hit the back button and resume Bimmerfest browsing.

At first I couldn't entirely rule out the router was somehow infected, but now sitting at Starbucks (no access to their router of course) and again getting this Bimmerfest Popup spam, all fingers point to Bimmerfest.

If the screenshot attempt from grabs saved to this iPad doesn't work, the spammy domains captured so far are:

giftzeldadlc.top
giftsformom.top
rewardinheaven.top
cardenvelopesizes.top
rewardandaward.club

Nice while the fix lasted these two weeks, but your iOS pop-up spammers are back. Caught and blocked by the router March 14 noon...

Hey there,

One solution is to use enhanced mobile view (not available on IPads/only vBulletin sites) or use tapatalk.

Another is to turn off javascript if you're using safari, but this will make some functions not work. Settings > Safari > Advanced > Turn off Javascript

An apple user reported that they turned it off for a while and turned javascript back on and the pop-ups came up less.

Maybe give this a try and see how this goes?

Have you guys tried "uBlock Origin" for Chrome yet? It's available over at the Chrome Web Store:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...jbkeiagm?hl=en
Although I don't use Chrome, on Windows and Linux boxes running Firefox, Palemoon and Waterfox, this ad blocker catches them all for me.

This is GREAT! I have been using AdBlock Plus for Chrome for many years. Recently many sites have added yet another annoying pop up telling me it should be turned off.

uBlock kills all of that. Awesome!

It works even better if you take the time to configure everything in the Dashboard (left-click on the "gear icon" just below the progie's large blue Icon); online articles will tell you how to tweak all the settings. BONUS - Blocking listings are automatically updated.

Hey there,

We're working on it, and for the short term, if you report the link that it takes you to, I can put a specific block so at least that link shouldn't come back.

It's on our end, not yours. There is an exploit with Apple devices and some site that's allowing the popups in. They sneak in through the regular communication that places regular ads here. So it isn't something we can just simply block out.

This happens because malicious coders buying ad space from Google, Rubicon, and all manner of other providers, and writing ads that trigger those obnoxious redirects when you're on a desktop skin on a mobile device. It's why we have mobile skins. It's also not localized to us, it's a global ad issue, CNN, buzzfeed, msnbc, any site that uses these adsense type ads. We're trying to catch them as we get them

Here's an article on it if you want to read

https://adexchanger.com/publishers/f...oney-blocking/

For now, I would recommend users to copy the full link address and we'll report them.

So the next time you see these ads, we'd need ALL the following info:

1.What device you're using.
2.The OS/browser you're using. Also, provide the skin/view you're on (e.g enhanced mobile view, full skin)
3.Your general location (State/City).
4.The URL of the ad, you can get this by right clicking the ad and click "copy link address". You can also click "inspect" and copy the highlighted text.
5. Screenshot
6. IP Address (whatsmyip.org)

That must be why I don't have the pop up problem. No pop ups on my Windows 10 and Android devices.

The most important part is just the URL, screenshot and device
If I just get that info I'll report it for blocking

What is the problem with the one in the picture?
My post just above his was said to of been handled.
I also still don't understand why the whole domain can't be blocked.
There is nothing that will be lost from that domain.

Hey there,

We need the full URL, I believe the one before was not reported, sorry for the confusion.
It should look really long, something like this when you copy the link address:

"http://rewardinfrench.club/us_amazon_amazon500/index.html?voluum******deprecated&eda=deprecated&cep=mprWQxPWXeEHyZyg1AtUDoImZRe5bMzD2nH8We8oZ9N5Ed r2tlnIeyZy0e5DUGpeXiHaC6dwPXzjxbVXqT7mgYsZl6EPHrss yhWc6igCsMIfrB1Zo9vKxGZHbG2S_SS4bJ-BBN9Fls4JTtNFrguKFmvpZJJasa87QePkid-sbZr_wfEzE_3o9Sc1ft-CY8KNuYrWJN-znkNxqr3D0xwBd3FNoA9cogcdJbHPla0P_bWZRGGZfAEQ0PJg4 _tNu2xa0UU9nIw4P6bUw_1Gxukv9r4ab527nQAsukYw-CFljwA&siteid=MTUyMDk5Mjc0NF8xNjYwMDI2MV8xNDQ0NzM1NjE2&sitedomain=%7Bsitedomain%7D"
