Hey guys I am in the process of bringing from over seas my sentimental value 1981 BMW 320/6 that I have owned since 1986 , car was my daily drive up to mid 1990s.
Long story short car sat in a garage since 2007 untouched .
The odometer reads 357000 kilometer , engine been refreshed once around 2003 ,rings bearings etc ,,,
car ran like top before hibernation .
Every thing on it stock , it is a Bavarian type .
I can't wait to see it again and start working on it , first night I might sleep in it ,( it is how much I missed this car , not to mention the good memories )
One of the photos I took last time I drove it in 2007.
Should I keep it as is , just get it running , or should I restore it to include paint job ,
Known it is in decent shape as is, hoping engine not seized from sitting that long .
By the way I own few e36s and I am very capable of tackling any work it needs I guess .

I'd clean it up and then evaluate. From what I see, I'd leave it as-is. It looks to be in pretty good shape.

Very nice - I have a Euro-spec 320/6 here in the states. Motor was disassembled and in the trunk; we did new pistons, rings, etc. and put it back together. It runs beautifully. I hope you have the same result!
