2012 650 convertible M Sport weird vibration under acceleration
Interested to see if somebody can advise on this issue... I got a great deal on my 650 from a dealership plus 100k mile power train warranty. This problem was noted by me and agreed by the dealer on the test drive, but, I was REALLY wanting the car and it came with a warranty so I bought it.
The best way I can describe the issue is - under hard acceleration it feels like one set of wheels is randomly running over small strips of wood in the road. Maybe 1/16Ē tall. Small flat strips. And randomly. Maybe under hard acceleration itís every 1/4 second, sometimes itís a lot less. Itís an X Drive model. I thought. Wrong sized tires on one axle and itís torquing the shafts then jumping a wheel? All 4 tires are 245/40/19. Looks like that might not be it. Iím also thinking misfire? But it runs smooth all other times and idles smoothly. Maybe an X drive fault but the dealership had the codes read and said there were none.
Any input from you fine folks?
Thanks in advance! Simon.
