X1 F48 (2016 - current)
Second generation F48 BMW X1 builds on the success of it's predecessor. Increases in power, interior and cargo space keep it a leader in the small SUV field.

"Rulling" or do you mean rolling? If it is the latter, this warning is suggesting that you apply the parking brake.

From a little research here on Bimmerfest, one possible explanation is as follows: "The Secure Against Rolling alert comes up if you put the transmission into Neutral and take your foot off the brake". Could that been the situation when you saw this message? Another possibility is that you may have moved the car with the door open OR have the transmission in neutral, unhook the seatbelt and get out of the car with the engine running.

I totally understand...6 months into ownership here and I still have my nose in the owners manual at least once a week.

It's likely not happening when the car is in park, should be one of the instances that the others mentioned. If you are an incline and put the car in park, it will automatically apply the parking brake.

I see this message when the car is in gear and the door is open (or not quite latched).

Nothing to worry about.

Same issue with BMW X1 Sdrive 2.0 2017

Hi,
I took the car for service and the dealer sent it back with that warning message. It says something like this "Secure vehicle with parking brake when stationary..."
the msg is displayed when the car is started and when is turned off.
During this week, i will take it to service to check what is wrong.

The shifter interlock has failed. You probably can hear it clicking when the car is on, and in park. Press on the brake pedal, you can feel and hear the solenoid clicking through the shifter.

There's some kind of defect with so many failing. Mine failed at about 40k miles and was replaced under warranty.

It won't affect driveability. It's meant to prevent you from shifting from park into gear without pressing on the brake pedal.

Hi IIDX,
I took the car to service and they told me the same, that the shifter interlock has failed. The service is going to replace the item under warranty.
Thanks.
