Question Mystery motor???

Howdy

I had a reconditioned Euro, B35 head that I had no use for so I traded it for a complete engine that is supposed to be an M30B34 (535). 3.5 is cast into the side of the block, the intake manifold looks correct and has the expected 3.2/3.5 on the casting, but when I checked the VIN stamped on the flat next to the starter, it comes back as a Euro 2.5...

Behold:

According to the last 7 digits of that VIN on the first pic:

Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Exactly what motor is this???

Thanks in advance

It would help if you took a pic of the whole engine.
