car jump starts but won't charge

Yet another battery post! Searched the forums and couldn't find a solution

2007 Z4 3.0si roadster

Hadn't run the car in a while and the battery died. Bought the car last summer so not sure of the battery age. Battery indicator still shows green so hoping its not the battery.
I jumped the car and it started. let it run for a little bit, shut it off, wouldn't restart
Jumped the car again, this time I noticed when I revved the engine, light's flickered, computer rebooted. Left it running for a while while connected to jumper vehicle. Still no luck
I bought the Ctek charger. I've tried connecting the charger to both the battery and the jumper posts under the hood. After about a minute the charger power light starts blinking indicating "the charger has entered the energy save mode. This happens if the charger isn't connected to a battery in 2 minutes"

Appreciate any thoughts

Thanks

Check battery cold voltage ... and then when running voltage regulator output.

Eliminate battery/alternator issues ... then go from there. The battery showing “green” doesn’t mean it’s healthy, especially as you have no history on it.

Changing the battery is a simple procedure and the car battery doesn’t need to be registered. Will need you to reset clock and windows.

Your battery most likely has a shorted cell.

well, it was the battery. Took clearencedriver's advice (as well as some others on the site) and purchased from Autozone, $160. Thanks everyone for your help.
