Door scratch... What next?

So I parked my 2016 BMW M4C in my driveway today and my passenger carelessly opened the door into the adjacent wall. Just hoping to get some advice as to what I should do to remedy this. It's currently winter in Ottawa, and I'm scared that the metal will begin to oxidize (although I do have to rust protection warranty).

I've attached a picture of the damage to this thread. I know it's minor, but I just got this car a month ago so this is a huge drag

Any advice is hugely appreciated.

That sucks! The damage doesn't look too bad. You are right that you do want to get some paint on there before it rusts for the winter.

I would tape off the area around the few chips and get some touch up paint for it. I am willing to bet that only you will know that it is there. If you really want to go all out and blend it back into the door you could try out this car scratch repair guide

Essentially it calls for some taping, some touch up and then the quixx scratch repair kit. Since your spot is pretty small it shouldn't take too long. I repaired a nice long scratch on a buddies mini van using this method and you couldn't see it. I would imagine you would have a similar outcome. _sl_ _sl_
