What Front plate mount to buy.

Hey Folks,

Finally bought x5. 2014 X5, nicely loaded, pearl white.. Amazing piece of machinery. Had it for few weeks now. Super happy.

I need to install a front plate but don't have mount there. Could you please send some links my way? (thinking amazon)

I found this https://www.amazon.com/Wonderchef-2P...qid=1572899965

But I'm not quite sure if it is all I need or is it just decorative, and I need another actual mount. Also, prices for these range from 5 to 100, so I'm confused.

Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to realoem, com that shows the mount for a non M Tech front. Hope this helps. You should try ebay, etc.

Here is a video of someone installing on an X5. This is using BMW part number 51 13 7 294 479 for a non-M Sport F15 X5..

If you've got a virgin front bumper and don't want to drill holes, a Skene bracket might be option:

Thanks all for help.

I have ACC + stop and go, and some ppl suggested that tow hook mount may interfere with parking sensors, so I figured best way is to go with the original part. Called bmw dealership, ordered it, 2 days. all came down to ~$60.

I have a platypus license plate tow hook mount on an f10 and my f15. If mounted correctly, it will not interfere with the PDC.
