82 320i, help

Hi All,
New to this community. Grateful for any help and hope all are healthy and safe amid this covid19 crisis.

I have a 1982 320i, Its not running, the current estimate between mechanical and body work to get it on the road is about $4,700 the body work is frame damage according to the mechanic that needs to be done to get the radiator to fit correctly - $2,200 just for that. And I am sure there will be more to do just looking at the tires, seals, etc.

My question is since the interior is need of almost a complete redo as well, is this a car to just part out?

I am not an expert on what the current value of these is, I've seen 1,500-14,000

Again grateful for any expertise on this.
Thanks.

It's nearly impossible for us to give you advice on this without seeing the car. If it needs $2200 worth of body work to just get the radiator to sit correctly, I'd say it's too far gone. I hate to see any classic scrapped, but some are just too hurt to fix.

thanks so much
the body shop is now saying (half hour ago) 750 to pull and repair the damage to the area where the radiator sits, another 1300 to make it look "pretty" :-)
i have pics of the car, interior and engine compartment but not of the damaged area
thanks for your reply
