E36 328i - Weird ICV issues, motor will not take any load.

Hello, first time posting; apologies for any formatting issues.

I've had my 1996 328i for about a year now. Swapped the motor and trans from an identical car and it ran great for almost an entire year. Motor was well taken care of and only 100k miles.
It's got an M50 manifold, and new (at the time) coils / plugs. I just replaced the TPS, and fuel filter as well.

Recently after driving the car started to sputter, and wouldn't accelerate whatsoever. Similarly to the way a motorcycle would run while flooded. The car would die and upon restarting it, would rev itself up to 2500ish RPM and hit a limiter. Pressing the gas pedal, even on the throttle body itself would make the RPMs drop, eventually leading to it stalling.
I pulled over and got the car towed home.

I have been reading forums non-stop trying to find any problems related to mine, but none seem to fit 100%. I've removed the manifold twice now to check for vaccum leaks, or any connectors broken or disconnected. I swapped the cam position sensor from one of my other motors and that did nothing. The only thing that changes the way the car runs is unplugging the sensor on the ICV. If I unplug it, the car will idle without revving itself up, but as soon as I press the throttle it stalls immediately. I cleaned the ICV, but it didn't look dirty at all in the first place.

I tried running the car with the MAF unplugged, I heard that it should set to some sort of "default values" and the car should at least idle. Mine does not, and immediately dies after starting for maybe a second or two.
I am at a complete loss for ideas, and any help is appreciated.

You got the connector from the iac to the rubber boot in good? Sometimes the boot just gets worn out and breaks
