E63 / E64 6 Series (2004 - 2010)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

First thing to check is climate control setting via idrive and make sure your climate settings are not set to cold. It's under options IIRC. If that does not do the trick, something is amiss with the coolant circulation.

Check the IDrive settings 1st. Next make sure the coolant is full. If all of the 1st 2 are good, you probably have a bad heater valve. Also check the hoses on both sides of the thermostat to make sure they are both hot. The heater valve is a very common problem & a easy repair. I think the valve is around 200.00.

Have you added coolant recently, & did you turn the heater on full hot while adding the coolant. It is possible air could be trapped, but our system are self bleeding. You can watch the small line that comes in the top on the expansion tank, to make sure the coolant is recirculating.

My heating valve controller in the engine compartment was failing and I had the same issue. It's a fairly easy replacement and not too expensive to do.
