Fuel Sending Units

Getting fuel gauge issues and will be replacing the fuel sending units on my 2001 3.0l x5. Are the sending units exactly the same or are they different? Looks like there are 2 different part numbers but they look the same. There are tons of driver's side units out there, but limited passenger sides.

They are two different parts and part numbers. They don't have the same job. The driver side pump is only supposed to push gas to the passenger side. Are you having issues with inaccurate readings. I'm currently have that issue and I keep running out of gas. I replaced both pumps and still have the same issue. I'm at a lost. Let me know if you got it resolved.
