X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

X6 no start after shut off for few minutes

Hey. I done a bit of looking and I have read that the fuel pump relay is causing this problem on x5ís. But havenít seen much on x6ís. Anyways. I want to check the relay on my 13 X6. But canít seam to locate it. Iíve checked under the glove compartment. In the fuse compartment in the back and under the hood. Canít seem to locate it. Any help to where this is would be great. Itís a 2013 BMW X6 35i.

Thanks in advance.

Anybody know where this is located? Need help. Dealer is 5 hrs away. Rather just do it myself then drive 5 hrs to get relay changed.

Why do you think that there is a fuel pump relay? EKPS is a module.

Did you ever figure this out? I have a cold start issue it will hardly start on cold mornings. It kind of sputters for the first minute or so then it revs up to 1,500 rpm for a few seconds then drops down to regular rpm's. I saw lots of posts with the e70's having an issue with the relay but don't see anything on the e71.

A major change that happens in the first minute of running is that the MAF comes on line after heating up. Initially on starting the fuel air mixture is from a default temperature map in the ECU while the MAF warms up. Once warmed up then the MAF takes over.

A presumptive test of the MAF is to unplug it and run the engine. If it runs better without the MAF than with it then the MAF may be presumed faulty.

Presume means true absent evidence to the contrary.
