F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

Outside temperature thermostat low until after driving

I've noticed when I get my car the thermostat is about 10 degrees (Fahrenheit) lower than the true outside temperature. After I drive for a bit, the temperature rises to what it should be.

This seems odd- if anything the thermostat should be too warm due to sitting in the summer sun.

Anyone else notice the same thing?

Location of the sensor is under the car so ambient temp there would be slightly different until some time after driving. Also, if you’re parked in a garage or in the shade, temperature will be different. Personally, my feeling is that sensor is not as accurate as a regular thermometer.

They're not, because it's not a real thermometer.
