FYI - Fix tensioner pulleys - No more noise - pic

Hi all,

So I replace my pulleys about 8 months ago, and used the hydraulic one for the main belt tensioner. Unfortunately, the AC pulley is manual. Last week I pulled into the drive-thru and heard a high-pitched squeak bouncing off the building wall... so annoying. I found this excellent youtube video

and decided to fix my pulley wheel. This is how I removed it:

I just put the X5 on front ramps. I did NOT remove any fan stuff. Took about 5 minutes to repack the grease on both sides of the pulley wheel (watch video). Total time was about 15 minutes. Thanks to the youtube dude, my car has no more squeak!!!!

Cool fix/upgrade.

Enjoy,

Rick

If you ever need to replace this pulley, since INA does NOT sell the pulley separately, you can use the Volvo pulley (search FCPEuro for serp belt pulley for let's say 2005 XC90 2.5T).
This Volvo INA pulley is a perfect fit.

I posted info in Xoutpost X5 forum and bimmerfest E39 forum.
