Mein Auto:
Highbeam works when flashed, but not when toggled on

2005 x5 4.4 (US) driver side low and high beam does not work. When I turn on my high beams the passenger sod does come on but not the driver. When I flash them (pulling the lever towards me) both high beams work. This tells me the high beam light bulb is working. I'm not sure how to figure out what's wrong nor how to fix it. Please advise.

You give no info as to which headlight set-up you have...but if you have the adaptive bi-xenon headlights...when you "flash"...its not the high beams that illuminate. The bulbs that illuminate are just (halogen?) bulbs that illuminate in the lens that are closest to the kidney grills.

The adaptive bi-xenon headlights use the same bulb for low and high beam. When high beam is selected...a flap opens that allows the light beam to be thrown further.
