Exact Horsepower of 2007 BMW Z4 3.0si (E85)???

I am currently looking at buying a 2007 Z4 3.0si. The VIN is 4USBU53507LX02372. All the sources are pretty close, but wondering what the exact horsepower number is and why the variance?

Many links list different Horsepower:

258 https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/lx02372

Thanks for your input.

There are theoretical as designed power, crankshaft power, and wheel power. Only design power is precise. The observed power are the result of calculations on measured parameters. Power is the product of torque m0ment and angle rate.

Your listed (power) numbers are hardly different,

Wikipedia is the only one that differs, and they explain why. Looks like you missed the footnote.

"All models are E85 roadsters except as noted. European specifications shown. North American vehicles have slightly lower power ratings, due to lower compression ratios necessitated by fuel quality issues. US models include 2.5i Roadster, 3.0i Roadster, 3.0si Roadster & Coupé, M Roadster & Coupé."
