Throttle Actuators

I been having DSC faults (always bank 2). I took both actuators out this weekend and left one wasn't bad at all. The right one had a lot of debris inside. But not much gear play in either. I cleaned and applied new anti seize. Put everything back and still have the same faults. I'm not looking at replacing, should I be fine with just the electrical board for the right one? I'm trying to spend the least amount possible. What is the best way to fix this cheaply?

Just had both of mine replaced/ rebuilt with life time warranty with Jason at Rebuild

https://www.facebook.com/rebuild.org.uk/

Rebuild.org.uk

Costed maybe $600 and my time.

Best option.

I'm unsure if it is the gears or the electrical board. Also typed it wrong the left side (driver) was the dirty one. But I didn't see much play or rounded teeth in either.

Have yet to run across a DIY on repairing these. Most guys send them in to the experts for repairs. can you buy the electrical board by itself? Its my understanding the MOSFET go bad in these over time. how many miles on the parts?

I looked deeper into the codes and it's definitely the electronics. I tried cleaning the gears but that didn't work. I decided I'm going to send it out to get it rebuilt. I will keep you updated.

I sent them out to a guy in the UK. He fixes my old codes but now I'm getting a 2B21 throttle-valve actuator pre-drive check, bank 1. 5E19 Engine management interface. 5FFB Terminal voltage electronic damper control. There are more but I believe those are the ones giving me the DSC fault. Any ideas?

slip over to m5board.com and ask the question. more guys over there can help with this engine. The M5 is more active than the M6 so ask in both sections if you don't get a response.
