The world is coming to an end... an iPhone thread

Yesterday, I joined my daughter on Visible Wireless where she's been for about 2 years. It's kinda weird that Visible doesn't allow multiple phones on one account. I suspect this is so they can drive subscriber totals or some other important statistic. To make up for this, they offer up to 4 individual accounts to share in a 'party' system. Up to 4 folks can join a 'party' and they each get $5 off/mo. The service starts @ $40/mo, so 3 more folks bring the service to $25 ea or 4 lines for $100/mo. This is a slammin deal.

So in the interest of fiddling with new sh!t, I did the only logical thing possible. I switched my work phone to an iPhone! My first iPhone in something like 10 YEARS The good news is, it's pretty much the same experience. The *better* news is that *I* have changed in the 10 years since I last owned an iPhone.

I know all the things that I think are pluses and minuses and I know today what I am in for with an iPhone. Today was my 1st full day with it. I can confidently say, for my purposes, it does all the same sh!t that my current Pixel does. It did win in the basic use category over its predecessor, an OG Pixel. It wouldn't power on for more than 12 minutes. This one stayed on all day!

It's an iPhone XR. By the way, settle this:

Alllll my Apple gnurd buddies call it the "10". But I strolled into the Verizon store to get some stuff and the nice lady referred to it as, "Oh, the XR?" Soooo which is it?

I also recently made the switch from a Pixel 3 to the Iphone X. I've long disliked all Apple products with the exception of iTunes which I use for music.

So far, I'm actually really liking the iPhone, much to the teasing of the fiance..

+1! I was very surprised how similarly they function. I mean, what else WOULD they do other than the exact same things, right? But still. I even found myself swiping *up* on my personal Android phone the other day.
