F30 335i MPPK and JB4?

Hey there.

I just picked up a 2013 335i xDrive, and I'm wondering if anyone out there is running only a M Performance Power Kit and a BMS JB4 piggyback, and if they might have a dyno sheet they could show off. I have the 8 speed ZF auto, so I'm hoping whoever has the sheet has one as well.

Until I dig through the CarMax Extended Warranty, and figure out what voids the warranty, I want to do everything legit as possible, and so far as I can tell, the only BMW Endorsed thing I can do is the M PPK and their overpriced exhaust kit. I'm not too interested in the exhaust at the moment, but I'm interested in the power figures for just the MPPK and JB4, wondering if that will get me close to 400 AWHP.

Thanks.

There have been some people on this board who have piggy-backed - or at least discussed it. I have the MPPK, but not the exhaust. Just to confirm, the MPPK (and exhaust) are covered by the BMW new car warranty, so no issues there. JB4, if detected, could be an issue with warranty claims if the dealer can make the connection. Lots of posts on this, so search around.

they do not stack, you dont get added gains from having mppk +jb4 vs having just jb4.
ex:
stock boost is 8psi.
mppk has a target of 11psi (+3).
JB4 has a target of 14psi. (+6)

having the two on the same car does not net +9
the jb4 will set the overall boost target to 14 psi.

doubtful you will get 400AWHP from just a tune.

MPPK requires reprogramming the car to allow more intake air not familiar if JB4 does the same ?

Ran a base JB4 with these results on a 2011 335is. The JB4 does not see the MPPK when in use. My dyno might be a little more than a regular 335 because the 335is ran a different ECU which have a different base timing advance curve. Thing is it will take a little more than just a JB4 to get to 400whp especially with the N55 which is not a tune friendly as the N54 was. I got over 410whp but with a JB4 +COBB stack running 100 octane gas, FMIC, BMS Charge pipe @ 18.5PSI. The base JB4 run is a old pre ISO version but did have a 335is firmware update. was beta testing the 335is packages with a few other guys.

335is + JB4 pre-ISO Custom 335is Firmware 93 octane standard NC premium gas. NC= 87,89,93. 100 octane race gas in some stations.

The DINANTRONICS Stage 1 product will not void your warranty (and, in fact, BMW dealers sell and install it), and it is 50 states emmissions-legal (meets CARB) - but it costs a lot more ($2K for an F30).

Isn't your car still under the original BMW warranty as opposed to anything Carmax offers until 50K miles?

Well, the car just popped over 50k when I bought it, I've read through the CarMax warranty, and there are no details that void it. Unless they can determine that a modification directly caused a failure, then they will fix anything that breaks. Are there any forums members out there with the XI N55 running 400+ AWHP?

I've seen the Varga Turbo upgrade, and I'm interested, but I'm also kind of leery because the details all say "Call a representative for more info". I'd love to have the same horsepower as a GT-R before I buy a GT-R, but I want to all the details before I take the plunge.

Well then the BMW warranty no longer applies since its 4 years/50k miles (whichever is first). I believe the Dinan warranty is a lot shorter than the 4yr/50 that is applied to cars under 50k.

I'm aware, thanks.
