Trouble updating IDrive software

I want to update the IDrive software on my 2017 430. I've gone to the BMW website, entered my VIN and downloaded the new file UPD09032.bin. I loaded it onto a USB formatted to FAT32.

When I go to car's IDrive, select upgrade software, insert the USB in the center armrest and start, I immediately get a message that the USB does not contain the software file!

I've tried multiple thumb drives and keep getting the same results.

I have tried using the USB slot on the center console under the buttons, also receiving the same message.

I know that both USB's work because I can play audio files from either slot.

Any help is appreciated.

Make sure the downloaded file is not in a folder.
