Rear bumper reflector

Hey I need a little help please! Looking to replace a broken rear bumper reflector on my 2000 Z3. Part # is 63148381253. It's the left side. Have search online at at two local dealerships. According to the dealerships, the item has been discontinued! Ugh! Any ideas where you can get a replacement? BTW I've searched online and they all list as the item is discontinued or back ordered with no time frame for availability, in short, item is no longer made! Yes I know some of us don't have these reflectors. Unfortunately I have factory drilled holes in my bumper and the missing reflector looks really stupid. HELP! I've checked salvage yards. Yeah, no go there. They all want to sell me a whole bumper! Any ideas out there, I know I can't be the only one out here with this issue!

Check out BMW in Britain. It is still listed on this site with 3-4 days shipping.

You could also check with BMW Canada. I know of a case where a Z3 owner had to get a part from his car from a dealer in Canada because BMW USA wouldn't bring it in for him. They have the reflector listed but there is nothing about the stock situation.

A month ago I bought a 2000 Z3. I still find it hard to believe BMW did not put a bulb in there.

Looks like BMW of Cincinnati should have it ... 30 seconds of googling the part # IF the number YOU provided is correct (63148381253) >>>

Sure, all the US dealerships will show it as available. Problem arises when you call to order you either get,"sorry, the company that handles our internet sales program is behind, the items are no longer available." Or ,"yeah, we sold the last one months ago! BMW doesn't make that item anymore!" I actually was a manager at a BMW and MINI dealerships. I still have a few U.S. connections. No go! Best advise was contacting BMW Canada or U.K. Oh and Jake Sweeney nor any of the other on line companies have as well! Spent all day pretty much searching for it!

This is a pretty late response, though if you are like me who looked for two years, it might still be helpful. I bought a used one from eBay for $70, and it was missing part of attachment lugs, which I fixed sort-of. It flew off to nowhere first time I drove with it. Then I did this:

I ordered a reflector for another bmw model car from Amazon, after a z3 owner said it worked for him with a little modification. It is OEM Genuine Rear Bumper Left Reflector for BMW 3 Series E46 Compact 1999-2003.
It is not identical to the one you are missing, but it is pretty close, and really, what other option is there?
It attaches differently, with plastic lugs/tabs that can be cut off with dremel tool and/or ground down (very easy). To attach, put extra strong exterior grade double sided tape on back and press in place onto cleaned area of car. I have had no problems with it coming off-it's there for the duration.
One caveat: I ordered the left side reflector, but on further reflection (!!!), I would have ordered the right side one (in same listing). That's because the slant of the right one when used on left side is closer to the original z3 reflector's contour. If different reflectors on each side bug you, order both. For me, I figure that no one is going to be looking at both sides of car at same time.
