No power to coil, weird wiring PO

So I recently bought two e28s, one being a 1987 535i and the other a 1988 535is, both complete cars but only the 535is has ownership so I am trying to rebuild that one.. The problem is both cars crank but donít start. At first the fuel pump wasnít running because the PO had wired it up straight from the battery but it runs now and is not an issue, but the original wiring to the fuel pump still doesnít receive voltage, and when I tested for spark there was no fire. I removed the distributor and verified it is good, tested the coil and it is in spec as per Bentley, but found that when I crank it there is no power to the coil.. I removed the panel on the drivers side and found some interesting wiring. What could be the cause of these symptoms and is there an easy fix?Click image for larger version

Sounds like either

1. Your main relay is dead. Which is on the left side of the fuse box. It has 5 prongs.

2. Or your crank or speed sensors in the tranny bell housing have died,

I checked the main relay and replaced it, checked the speed sensor and ref sensor and they both read 900 some ohms so they should be fine
