Passenger Side Heated Mirror

Got a code from Carly...
009CC6 hall sensor defective - heated side mirror passengers

I noticed that my passenger's side mirror does not get hot to dry up the rain droplets so I knew the heating is not working. What exactly needs to be replaced to get this working? Is it the glass (which it does have a plug) or is it the whole side mirror unit (which will cost close to $1000 to replace new). Anyone experienced this before?

I was unable to find Hall Effect sensor associated with exterior mirrors. The mirrors do have external temperature sensors that tell the JBE to turn on heat for deicing.

The mirror should come out pretty easily. Behind it is a wire harness. Maybe a portion of it is dirty and just needs to be cleaned.

It looks like that code is overloaded and can mean either of those two things:
a) hall sensor defective -> this would be some window up/down issue
b) heated side mirror passengers -> heated mirror not working
