How does such a succesful individual who makes enough money to drive a L328i, take the kids to McD's, run the house , etc. have 4.56 threads per day??? The question is how much time does one individual spend on this forum and be able to get things done during a normal business day? Is there a secret BimmerFest Crown he is shooting for? The man is a genius! BJ you must have possibly learned this skill from the boss (wife) who makes bank and passed it on to redefine Multi-Tasking? Well done sir!
Funny you should say that. My wife is always wondering why I am checking the forum so many times a day and I really don't have any reason. I happen to have a job that gives me a lot of idle time so out of boredom I check here just to see if anything new is going on. I'd be willing to bet that I check in here at least 10 times a day. I don't always comment so it may not seem like I am here often, but I am always lurking.
High powered executives, with true leadership ability know how to delegate work to their peons and minions. This serves two purposes
1) Allowing the high powered executive to focus on important things
2) Shows the peons how benevolent he/she is by entrusting them to do the work
Until you successfully learn to understand, and master this, you will never have a trophy wife, Mc-Mansion, and a rolex collection
"...high powered executives...Ok but I think I have this already...trophy wife-CHECK, Mc-Mansion (with mancave of course)-CHECK, Rolex...no. Just a Cartier. I practice the phrase "... you're fired! " like Mr. Trump until I get someone in here to do my dirty grunt work. Pays to own your own business.
All the "high powered" executives I know do NOT drive 328 nor even 335s. Nosiree. They are in to the M5, M6 or the seven series models, if they drive a bimmer. More likely, they are driving Astons and the like.
Even though the 3 series now has a bit more rear legroom, it's not a senior executive car by any means, IMO. The 7 series is best suited as it has ample rear legroom as well as trunk space. It's a very comfortable ride for all passengers, front and rear.
If I were meeting clients or other top level executives in my 3 series, I would probably say something like - I apologize for the inconvenience, but I had to borrow my son's/daughter's car because mine is in for service.
Funny... you wait. This is why I started this thread. A few years ago, BJ was at his best with some odd off topic thread about status. Best I've ever seen! Worked my way up to .003 threads a day. It somehow got moved, shut down, not sure but funny as hell nonetheless. If we could only bring back some of BJ threads from the archives you would see what I mean. Example... driving through a Wal-Mart parking lot for 3 hours as he (BJ of course), he was going out for milk. Now to have the imagination to drive through a Wal-Mart parking lot for three hours in his "precious metal" BMW - Bronze metallic if I am correct, Ray Bans, Rolex and top down of course rolling at 2 mph over and over again, putting the top up and down just to show "those" folks how it works because they only heard about a BMW at bedtime after "pops" got done watching "All in the Family" they were amazed like little Cindy Lou Who in Whoville. Purposely stopping at the main entrance using his Comfort Access trunk move to lure them to the back enveiling the "badge" and the glistening Rolex dangling from his wrist. I heard once he saw a man changing a tire in THE lot and drove up , parked and said, " Run Flats!" ...then drove off. This is a true story if you were wondering. It's in "A day in the life of BOLTJAMES". He got it published I believe...
I lurked for a long time before joining and always appreciated your humour and decisiveness. Some much needed humour in threads that talk about the same thing over and over.
Of all your accomplishments in life, don't you think you have really made it now. I mean your very own Bimmerfest thread about you. I know it is a day you've waited for a long time. Congrats sir
Well, having his own Bimmerfest thread is certainly a signicant accomplishment along life's road, but the absolute pinnacle is having that thread made a STICKY! :bigpimp:
Just wanted to chime in to say***8230;
Great thread and an educational one at that. Can't wait for them to offer the Status Package® on the F31 so I can show up at day care to convey my son in the manner to which he will become accustomed.
It looks like people can and do change. For the all the newbies who chimed in obviously don't know and understand what BoltJaM3s really means. Like he said, go the to the OT forums and look them up and you will understand a little better. Far too literal on your replies. Once you get past the pompous, cavalier, under paid X porn star name you will then understand his philosophy. I see his old friends came out of the woodwork to give their 2 cents. Nice to see. Just maybe we can all embark on a NEW BOLTJAMES quest of benign tactics and retorts. Wouldn't that be something? If he could ever get a hold of SVP status, manage the 4 rug rats, tame the boss (wife) and come to grips. His "Fabio" style hair may be thinning and even a little lighter shade of....gray, he could still pull this one off to send us on another journey in the life and times of BoltJames. So folks if he starts to chime in after 12AM, I would imagine his tongue just might send us for a little laugh. If he could only muster up the courage and tell us what happened last weekend at his local Salvation Army or Cold Stone or even the local Barber Shop. There must be more... so we wait. tick-tock tick-tock....
You forgot to mention that he also claims that he bought a 328i to get entry into country club. All so his children can get a date with children of other wealthy parents.
I guess I got to find me uber luxury 328i to secure the future of my kids. Since now I have seen the light....LOL
From one Estoril Blue to another, give it some time. If you understood the man you would understand a little better. Humor is actually a good thing in life. Loosen up a bit, get some more coffee and another donut from the staff lounge and research in the OT section on his threads. Then and only then you will understand this comic relief. I'm sure since you are a high paid top executive who delegates your immense authority you have time. Don't worry your portfolio is doing just fine. Have a heart and go with it. Funniest stuff since SEINFELD. Trust us all on this.
Typically, in retail branches the branch manager is also known as the Assistant VP. The regional manager is known as the VP. The regional manager probably makes around 100k. Now once you get into the back office/corporate area the titles are different and being a VP may mean something. Each company varies
I have no idea if this is fact or fiction, but provides me with chuckle from time to time; Not sure if some of these are sarcastic comments Or is actual truth but it has kept me entertained..!
Undoubtedly the truth! We promise! Look up all BJ's OT threads. You will see. This stuff and old Seinfeld reruns are neck n neck. But I kid you not, this stuff really happened. This isn't "BIGFOOT" sightings or "NESSIE" sightings. He is true as gold. Gold I tell ya...
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
