The MY2016 3 Series Sedan (F30) receives a Lifecycle Impulse (LCI) as of July 2015, and there are several updates to be aware of. • Model 163N is equipped with N20 (non-SULEV engine), Rear-wheel drive with manual transmission only. In other words:

    • Production of model 163N will be based upon dealer order bank requests. If the order bank request is entered prior to the 15th of the month, it will be filled within the next allocation.

2016 BMW 3 Series 330e eDrive

The BMW 330e represents the next evolution of the beloved and iconic BMW 3 Series. Combining BMW's award-winning 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with a lithium-ion powered electric motor, the 330e delivers the legendary power you expect from a BMW with groundbreaking fuel efficiency: combined output of 248 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque that propels the 330e from 0-60 in just 5.9 seconds.

Powertrain
The 330e combines BMW's award-winning 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor, powered by a lithium-ion battery, integrated into its 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine generates a maximum output of 180 hp and 215 lb-ft of peak torque and features a TwinScroll turbocharger, High Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC fully variable valve lift control, and Double-VANOS variable camshaft timing. The additional electric motor provides peak torque that is available from a stand-still in typical electric drive fashion. This has the effect of boosting the engine's output for instantaneous responsiveness and power build-up with no delay when accelerating from stationary, as well as far more dynamic performance whenever a quick burst of speed is required. Thanks to its duo of drive units, intelligent hybrid powertrain control and permanent all-wheel drive, the BMW 330e promises effortless performance and outstanding efficiency.

It is also unclear what package(s)/option(s) gets the extra cooling hardware as in pre-LCI sport-line/M-sport line, maybe the M-sport package?

For $800 price hike the LCI 328i misses the 18-inch wheel and 704(and very likely the extra cooling too) from pre-LCI ZSL, so it is mainly the sport seats plus the ZSL's trim pieces and headliner.

Did I miss anything?

they turned the 398 style (old 320i sport package wheel) gray and packaged for the track handling package. I still think style 398 is the best looking wheel in the line up.

So all of you with 320i ZSP will soon have the same wheel packaged in tracking halding package. Smart move guys!!!

Yeah, I just wish they had them with run flats. With no spare, I'd rather have the run flats.

Agreed, I'm now happy I ordered a 2015 with DHP. I was idly comparing similarly equipped 328d wagons between 2015-2016, and thought I'd only have paid a few hundred dollars more and gotten the sport seats (I'm getting a no-line). But with that restriction it is a couple thousand more (track package) just to get the M-adaptive suspension.

#21 · (Edited)
I'm playing around configuring a 340i to order, and the way I'm seeing this is they added all the premium package items in as standard EXCEPT Dakota leather. That still looks like a standalone $1,450 addon.

Unlike the 2015 ordering guide, it does not list leather along with any of the packages like M-Sport.

Am I missing something?

Edit: Even if you add in the $1,450 for leather, the 2016 340i still comes out cheaper than a similarly configured 2015 335i. See my comparison of the 2015 on the left and 2016 on the right.

I see the leather dashboard is no longer offered. What a shame.

#29 · (Edited)
EDIT: I accidentally referenced the "Diplomatic" base price in my earlier calculation. Looks like a similarly equipped 2016 328i model is $700 less than the 2015 model:

But with the 2015 incentives BMW has now, I'll be sticking with my 2015 order :)

Wow great, so basically the sport line is basically standard now, provided they do the suspension tweaks they are talking about. Sounds like they are doing away with the thin base steering wheel in place of the thicker sport wheel standard. All good news.

#37 ·
Ordering 320i now, BMW system says cannot add ZLP lighting package without ZPP premium package. This better not be the case. Exactly the kind of none-sense I didn't want to see. The ordering guide does not have this restriction for 320i.
