Best F30 suspension upgrade options

Hi All,

My car has ~38K miles and it is so wobbly and bouncy on the freeway. I got my suspension and alignment checked and all are within spec. I'm running the right pressure as well. I am thinking that its just the F30 suspension that is terrible on the freeway and as the tires wear out the ride gets worse and worse.

What type options do I have? I was looking at the M Performance Suspension and Ohlins R&T. Can anyone recommend a solid setup for the F30? I like the price point of the M Performance Suspension but I'm not sure if it is too stiff. I also carry my family in the same car.

I enjoy a stiff ride which is in control. I really like the M2/M3 ride. Is there a setup that resembles the M2/M3 stiffness? Maybe not as stiff but still close.

The problem with the current suspension is that the car bounces up/down and side to side when it hits imperfections on the road.

Thank you!

If your steering wheel shakes it might be that your wheels need to be balanced..but if the car just bounces a lot it might be your shocks or struts.i would recommend kyb shock and struts if you do replace them because a lot of aftermarket like Gabriel or Monroe will still have the same problem

What year is your 335i? Is it a sport line/M sport? If so, the M performance suspension kit can be a good option, as the anti-roll bars do not need to be swapped out.

A coworker has a 2014 320i sport package and the MPSK was installed. The mod tightens up the suspension.

namelessman,

My car is a 2014 335i M SPORT with 19'inch wheels.

I'm leaning more towards the M PERF SUSPENSION KIT for now.

Thanks again!

No problem!

One plus of MPSK(M performance suspension kit) is that it is OEM, so fitment should be good.

Unfortunately mine is non M sport suspension, so MSPK installment will require subframe drops(both front and rear?) to replace non-sport anti-roll bars with the M versions.

Hi, my '13 335i, M-Sport with DHP has a leaking driver front side shock. I have not noticed any issues (bouncing or rough ride) on normal driving. Is there a way to fix the shock? If I have to replace it, can I do just the front or does it have to be all 4 shocks? Is this job straight forward or do I have to bring it to an indy or bmw shop? Thanks in advance!
