is my e36 consuming too much fuel ?

Hi there , hope you're all having a great day

i purchased an e36 320i cabriolet about 6 months ago and i haven't really tested it fuel consumption , lately i have been paying more attention , i did some tests and here are the results

i filled it with 44L and it did 300km
i filled it with 62L and it did 450km

on average it does 13/14L per 100km , is this normal ? note that i live in a city where there is a decent amount of hills

i looked online and it says that the lowest point is 0m (since we have a beach) , and the highest point of altitude is around 150-180m (not sure if this helps)

That's about 16 - 18 mpg for us Americans.
The published numbers for the e36 320i are: 12.9 / 6.7 / 9 l/100km (18.2 / 35.1 / 26.1 mpg)

So, assuming you do mostly city driving, that's pretty spot on. Also bear in mind that our cabriolets weigh more than hardtop models, and that our 20+ year old engines might not be making the compression they used to.
